Η φωτογραφική σειρά “Losing Identity”, μας μιλάει για την ελάχιστη γεύση ελευθερίας που πρόλαβε να γνωρίσει η καλλιτέχνις μέχρι το πραξικόπημα της 1ης Φεβρουαρίου του 2021, που αφαίρεσε βίαια κάθε ελευθερία έκφρασης. ‘’Ένιωσα βαθιά λύπη. Άρχισα να κάνω το «Losing Identity», καθώς πλέον όχι μόνο έχουμε χάσει την ελευθερία της έκφρασης μας, αλλά ζούμε υπό αυστηρή λογοκρισία. Παρακολούθησα πώς είναι η ζωή χωρίς ελευθερία έκφρασης. Απεικόνισα το παρόν, το μέλλον και το παρελθόν, ενώ μπορούσαμε να ζήσουμε πλήρως ή να είμαστε ο πραγματικός μας εαυτός. Φαντάζομαι τη ζωή χωρίς αυτήν.’’ Η Khin Thethtar Latt γεννήθηκε στην δικτατορούμενη χώρα της Μυανμάρ. Είναι κινηματογραφίστρια και εικαστικός.

The photographic series “Loss of Identity” talks about the little taste of freedom she got to know until the coup of February 1st 2021, which violently removed all freedom of expression. ‘’I felt deeply sad. I started doing, ‘’losing identity’’, as not only have we lost our freedom of expression, but now, we also grow up under strict censorship. I traced how life is without freedom of expression. I portrayed the present, the future and the past, and how we can't fully live, or be our real selves. I imagine life without it.’’ Khin Thethtar Latt is a visual artist and filmmaker. She was born in the country of Myanmar, which is under dictatorship.
